Don’t Wish It Were Easier, Wish You Were Better :: 12.13.13 – 12.17.13

Collaborative and independent work by Corey Dunlap and Bradley Tsalyuk

easier

Opening reception: Friday, December 13th 6-9pm

“Don’t wish it were easier, wish you were better.” This line from motivational speaker Jim Rohn establishes an atmosphere of uneasiness for our works that focus on the irresolute space between self-betterment and self-deprecation. Utilizing objects of exertion and leisure, our work exploits the capacities of optimism.   — Corey Dunlap and Bradley Tsalyuk

Corey  and Bradley are multimedia artists working in sculpture, installation, photography, and performance. Partners since 2011, their work overlaps in both material and conceptual considerations. Together they create collaborative works that activate an intersection of interests while stimulating the context for individual pieces.
